Meet the Team

  • Mike Preiner

    Mike leads the Math Agency and has over 15 years of experience applying technology to real-world problems. He grew up in a low-income family in rural Minnesota, has a PhD in Applied Physics from Stanford University, and previously co-founded two software and analytics companies.

  • Rachel Mateo

    Rachel leads operations at the Math Agency, and has over 10 years of experience teaching as a classroom teacher, dual language instructor and a math interventionist. She has a masters in teaching from Seattle University and experience leading teams in education and program development.

Board of Directors

  • Sid Gorham

    Sid is an experienced entrepreneur and CEO. He was part of the founding team at OpenTable, led corporate strategy at the Neilson Company, and now serves on the board of several startups and non-profits.

  • Keith Zander

    Keith is currently at the Gates Foundation as the Deputy Director of Measurement, Learning and Evaluation in the Global Opportunities Division. Before joining Gates, he was a Director of Program Learning at OneGoal.

  • Cathy Habib

    Cathy is an experienced community advocate in the Seattle/Bellevue region. She has served as board chair of Eastside Pathways, and on the board of the Bellevue Schools Foundation. She is also a partner at Social Venture Partners.

  • Mike Meotti

    Mike has a career of service in education. He currently leads the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC), the state agency responsible for advancing educational attainment, expanding access to higher education, and administering Washington’s financial aid programs.

  • Bryce Hemme

    Bryce is the head of Architecture and Infrastructure at Corteva. He has deep experience in bringing digital technology into demanding operating environments, and has led both product and engineering teams.
